BritishAmerican Business is the leading transatlantic business organization, comprising and representing more than 500 of the world’s leading multinational and middle-market companies across sectors and geographies. It incorporates the American Chamber of Commerce (UK) and the British-American Chamber of Commerce (USA), which merged in 2000 to create a single, pre-eminent transatlantic organization under the BAB brand.
We represent a pragmatic, creative and conscientious British-American business community and we are a driving force for a pro-growth transatlantic economic zone. BAB has been a strong supporter of a comprehensive EU-US trade and investment agreement and we continue to play a leadership role in promoting the ongoing negotiations for TTIP. Our TTIP work is driven by our commitment to a strong and cooperative transatlantic regulatory framework and a local, specific and tangible approach that helps to illustrate the benefits to businesses, workers and local economies a successful TTIP agreement can deliver.
BAB has been actively promoting the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) by building a member driven business consensus through a wide-ranging event, policy and communications programme, since before the TTIP negotiations were launched in July 2013.
We are currently focusing our activities on:
- EU/US Trade & Investment Forum
- High-level Policy Roundtables
- UK National Road Shows
- UK All Party Parliamentary Group
- Policy initiatives
